Column-shift manual? Column-shift manual.
No radio.
I need to win the lottery.

I’m actually not much of a Hornet fan, but damn.

Only 68,000 miles, too, and that looks believable. The thing is mint.
Total poverty spec, but the question is why someone on a such a tight budget buy a new car and drive it so little, almost like they drove it into climate controlled dead storage, like a Corvette or something?
My guess is the first owner was already retired in 1970, only drove a few thousand miles a year, and its been in storage for the past 20 years or so because the kids couldn't decide what to do with it.

Column-shift manual? Column-shift manual.
Three-on-the-tree. My ‘71 van has one of those, but it’ll probably get a five-speed at some point.

Yeah, I don’t know how it’s possible for someone to drive their car so few miles. I’m all about poverty spec vehicles and I keep mine clean and maintained, but I throw some miles on those things.

I’ve never driven one before but it doesn’t seem too difficult. I watched a YouTube video of a guy shifting a 70s C/K truck and the only thing that was weird to me is that the throws were comically long .
I love the idea of a manual van, but as someone who drives a cargo van 65k+ miles per year for a living I think I’d hate the reality of it.

Looks like 1970 was the first year for the Hornet and the last year for the 3.3L straight-six engine.
I’d love a chance just to rent that car from Turo for the weekend.

These need to be updated, but this van is not likely to travel 65k miles per year. It hasn’t driven 65 miles in the past TEN years!
But yes, very long throws...

This got me looking down the SX/4 path again.... my Eagle is close to running again, and then we’ll see. If my MP FI conversion works out well on the wagon, I’d consider getting an SX/4 with the 4.2L , converting it, jacking it up a bit, and go full crazy safari mode.... wife might kill me at that point.

I loved the SX/4. I wish I could find an Eagle Kammback though, and I also wish I had the money to buy it if I found it.

The wagons are easy enough to find in better condition than I bought mine for... the kamm backs are pretty dang hard to find.
